29 Nov 09 Car Heater Not Working – Blowing Cold Air!

There are several reasons why your car is heating cold air instead of heat. It is important to understand how the heater in the car works before you can begin to try to diagnose why it does not work. First, there is no electric heating element in the heating system in cars that are used as portable heaters in the apartment. The part is the heat in the interior as a heater core. A heater corecan be like a miniature radiator. The car engine coolant flowing through the heater core, while (the fans) and a fan blows air through the heater core fins. When the air blows through the heater core fins, it is warm, thus warming the interior.

Start by removing the coolant. As I said this is what heats the coolant heater core. So, if the coolant is low, it can not a sufficient amount ofHeat transfer heat to the air in the passenger compartment. Because it's cold outside, can not the low coolant temperature of the engine much effect, so that you no warning to a coolant problem caused by the temperature gage on the instrument panel. Once the coolant is full, feel the heater hoses that go through the firewall. With the engine at normal operating temperature, which should both be hot on the heater hoses. If only one is hot, thisindicates that a blockage in the heater core or the air trapped in the heater core. With a Lisle coolant funnel is in cleaning the air from the cooling system helpful. If the coolant is actually brown, has been neglected, or "leak" was used at a particular time is, could be stopped, the heating core. The blockage can sometimes by the heater hoses and using a garden hose with a syringe to flush the heater will be unstoppedCore. If neither of the hoses are hot to the touch, it could also a failure of heating control valve, if you are working on the model used. Check the presence of a heater control valve by the heater hoses back on the engine. Sometimes a vacuum line could have a break where they cause no vacuum to operate the valve. Also it should be noted that if this (your first winter with this car and you are not familiar with repair of the carHistory), the previous owner could have avoided because the heater core of a leak. If a heater core leak, usually they get wet the passenger side floor. The labor costs for changing radiator usually expensive, so sometimes people loop the heater hoses and by-pass rather than repair a leaking heater core right.

Next check for proper ventilation. Once you are sure the heater core is hot waterflow, read the following information. Doors inside the heater case, are controlled either by electrical motors, cables or vacuum motors. Adjust the heat control to both extremes while listening for the movement of the mixture door. With a cable operated heater door, it is easiest to hear knocking on the door when it is closed. If the door is not in operation to find the door that the airflow through the heater core controls. If there is an electric motor that controls the door,Tap, it can sometimes make it work temporarily for testing purposes. A vacuum operated vacuum motor must work so that a handheld vacuum pump for the test is generally recommended. If the motor does not hold vacuum vacuum, a leak in the membrane replacement needs. Be needed in order to lower the diagnostic function of head control and diagnosis, repair manual specific information. But, hopefully, has explained the basics in this article helped to get you started onthe right track.

I'm getting another one, I love this sucker so much.
Energy efficient at 400 and 800 watts vs 1500 for a convection heater.
In short, if you:
1) stay pretty much in one spot during the day
2) have high ceilings or your home is really hard to heat
3) have dust allergies
4) use a heater just during your waking hours and pile on the warm blankets at night
5) are not bothered by some light being emitted from your heater
6) have cats or dogs
7) love how it feels when the sun warms up your clothes and skin
8) are concerned about energy efficiency
9) need a heater that won't burn anyone who bumps into it
then this is the space heater for you!
Best Heater I've Ever Had

Review Date: January 19, 2007
Reviewer: Margel Bonifacio, Moscow, ID United States
I'm a graduate student living alone in a one-bedroom apartment. Here in Reno, I pay more than $100 for the electricity during the winter season. I figured out that this is probably due to my heaters which are electric-powered. My apartment has a built-in electric heater and I have a Delonghi heater (DFH 333MT). I have no complaints about the Delonghi heater except that it consumes lots of electricity(1500 W) and I just don't like the feeling of the warm air plus it makes me feel dry.

To save money I decided to invest in this little heater and I was not disappointed. It just consumes 400 W (low setting) and 800 W (high setting).

To give you an idea of how good it is, I turned off the built-in electric heater in my apartment and the Delonghi heater and I did not feel cold at all even in the LOW SETTING.

The lights at LOW SETTING is not as bright as I thought. But in case you cannot sleep with its emitted light, I suggest that you put a blindfold. The light feels good. This device has also a safety mechanism. If you tip it, it will stop working and if it reached a certain high temperature,it will automatically stop. To sum up, a good buy.

This heater is made in China. I just hope that it will last for a long time.

UPDATE: In colder evenings, you need to use the HIGH SETTING. The light is too bright but the heat is enough esp. if you are at least 3 feet apart from it. In my case, I still need to turn on my apartment's built-in electric heater but only at LOW SETTING. This Soleus heater is just not enough to heat my whole room which is connected to the kitchen.

Well, it has been more than a year since I updated this review. I now live in Moscow, ID (from Reno, NV)doing postdoctoral studies and this heater still works!
WHERE THERE'S LIGHT THERE'S HEAT!

Reviewer: Douglas McKinnon Jr., Tijeras, NM
If you want heat, this one's for you. It puts out more heat at 400 watts than most 1500 watt heaters, so it'll cost far less to run. I haven't even set it on high (800 watts) because I haven't needed to. Some may object to the light it emits but that's like complaining about the sun because it's too bright if you stare at it. You can set it up peripherally or at a slight angle away from your direct vision, avoid the light and still get plenty of heat. Buy this now while it's on sale and you can get free shipping. I don't know how long these halogen bulbs last, but it really does the job.
UPDATE (11/07):
After using this for two years, it's easily paid for itself. However, I bought one for a friend and it and its replacement (covered by Soleus under warranty) were defective. The third one she received seems to be OK, however she prefers the Presto Parabolic Heater since she claims it heats a wider area and doesn't emit as much light. The Presto costs half again as much ($75), may do slightly better but also uses more electricity, so figure out what's right for you. I should add I don't use the Soleus at night, it's less intrusive and more efficient to use an electric blanket instead.
Excellent !

Reviewer: Maverick,
This beats oil filled heaters, ceramic heaters, and any others.
First because its efficiency. It runs in two modes 400w and 800w.
Which are a lot less than usually 1000w space heaters. at 400w i am
very comfortable.
second, I LOVE THE LIGHT.
there are studies where people get depressed living in dark regions
or seasonal changes. This thing give you kind of sun-like beam
and is very toasty and comfortable enough for me to go day dream.
very relaxing.
People think since it's halogen life span of the heater won't be more very long. However, upon close inspection the coil of the halgen is very
thick. It's not like halogen lamp that you use for lighting purposes.
It will last minimum 3 to 5 years if you are careful with it and don't shake it or move it around.

Bought two of these last year and really like them. They are only 15" high (21" long) flat saucer feet for good stabliity, and no sharp metal edges for the kids to hit their heads on.

The Timing and temperature dials are easy to use. We used them last year when natural gas was so expensive. They did such a good job keeping the kids rooms at a consistant temperature at night that we plan to use them this year too. It worked out much better than using the house thermostat at night.
Great Oil-filled Heater

Review Date: February 22, 2007
Reviewer: M. Dilger, chicago, IL
This is the second Delonghi oil heater that I purchased through Amazon & I am completely satisfied with both of them. (I also purchased the Delonghi HM25E Dragon Ultimate Oil Filled Radiator Heater purchased in 2005, twice the cost, twice the heater.)
I like the size of this smaller one a little more -- it fits better into the small space where I am using it. We use it in a 10' x 10' main bathroom. The room is not insulated (85 year old home) and gets almost no heat from the home's central heating system (radiated water heat).
I have used it every day this winter and found that it is more than adequate for this room, even on the coldest winter days. The temperature recently has dropped to -5 F overnight (Chicago) and I have the heater set on high to turn on 60-90 minutes before I get up. The bathroom is always nice and toasty in the AM, even though the exterior wall is cold to the touch.
I was concerned about the safety of using an electric heater in the bathroom because of electric shock and fire risk. No problem on either account. I recommend using a GFCI electric outlet to reduce the risk of electric shock; also, the oil-filled radiator does not build up an excessive amount of heat (as long as you don't cover it - keep it open so heat can radiate away from it).
The heater has on/off switches (one for high, one for low) and a electro-mechanical timer. You set the current time with the dial, then set the timer to turn on & off as much as you wish during the day. You can be accurate to within about 15-30 minutes. The unit must stay plugged in for it to keep accurate time. Electronic LED timers (like on the Delonghi Dragon) can be set more accurately, but usually have a limited number of on/off automatic settings (Dragon has a limit of 2).
This heater also has a "thermostat" of sorts. It doesn't give a temperature, just gives a min/max range of 1-6 (my other one goes to 11). A 6 setting for about an hour is necessary for a toasty 10x10 bathroom at 0 degrees F, while setting at 3 for an hour is sufficient at 32 degrees.
Energy consumption - my electric bill increased only about $8-10/mo from fall to winter, a small price to pay.
The heater is short (about 16-18 inches)& very stable, fits under my pedestal sink between the sink & tub - perfect spot. It gets hot to the touch, but not so that you (or a child) might burn yourself.
Quite pleased

We got one of these at the hardware store. Liked it enough to get another at Amazon (at about half the price).
Great for a small room. One keeps our 11' by 14' TV room cosy. Doesn't dry out the air like the fan heaters, and totally quiet.
My wife loves the timer on the one in the bathroom. Nice in the morning, pretty easy to set up.
Two minor gripes. The cord comes out at the control end (you never see it in the picture). Also, it gives off a bit of a smell for awhile while it's new. They do mention this in the instructions and it did go away, but it might worry you if you're not aware.
Excellent Radiant Heater!

Review Date: December 8, 2006
Reviewer: Pamela V, Mississippi Gulf Coast
This compact unit takes up little space and heats up a fairly large room in a matter of hours. The temperature outside this morning was 29 degrees, but the room with this heater in it, was 69. As long as you keep the doors closed so that the heater works in a finite space, you'll see excellent results.

There was an acrid smell most of the first evening that it was used, I suppose from the oil inside being heated for the first time.

ADDENDUM November 18, 2008: This unit stopped dead yesterday. We live in a coastal area and don't have alot of cold days in the fall and spring months so it's not like this heater was really abused with overuse. Still, after less than 2 years - kaput with no other option than to add it to a landfill. Will not buy another one.

The best heater ever

Review Date: January 2, 2006
Reviewer: L. Wendlick,
This is a great unit and just like it states it is wisper quiet. Easy to read digital temp. Took about 5 min to warm a 63 degree room to 72! Takes up little space, I put mine in the corner and you don't even know its there. It is also an attractive unit that I don't mind having in any room of the house. The remote controol is a plus also. I Did not think I needed it, but now that I have it, I love that feature also. There is an easy to use timer on the unit also. That is a nice feature so you don't forget to turn it off when you go to work etc. I am thinking about ordering another one as this is such a handy unit. With heating costs this winter it is a money saver to use this electric unit to supplement your heat.
Best Electric Heater

Review Date: September 6, 2006
Reviewer: Tony, Johnson City, TN
I bought this heater for my living room. I have central heat and air, but this helps me save money on my heating bill. It's slightly more expensive than other ceramic heaters, but it has an air purifier and a remote control. None of the cheaper ceramic heaters have those features. You don't realize how handy the remote control is unless you have owned an electric heater without one. You can make minor adjustments to its thermostat with the remote control. You can adjust the thermostat from 64 to 90 degrees. It has a big, bright LCD display on the front that shows the temperature and other information. Many people seem to prefer those electric oil-filled heaters, but some of them can take forever to heat up a room. This heater produces a lot of heat quickly. It's rated at 5,200 BTUs. A small air conditioner has a rating of about 10,000 BTUs. It also has the ability to automatically alternate between high and low power when it's in AUTO mode. It doesn't always use 1500 watts of electricity because of that. Sometimes it will only use 950 watts if a room is already warm. The Sunpentown SH-1508 is the best electric heater I have ever owned.
Great Little Heater

Review Date: October 22, 2005
Reviewer: K. Barker,
After reading dozens of reviews on dozens of heaters, I gave up and ordered what looked good. So far, I very happy with this one. Although assembly was indicated, it came fully assembled. It heats my son's bedroom (10 x 12) in very short order and it takes the chill off my living room (16 x 22). I switched to a pellet heater as my primary fuel and there are some areas of my home that just stay cool. I'm confident this will do the job on all but the coldest of days (Mid-Michigan). The directions are easy to understand and the remote is simple to use. The only drawback is the LED panel is super bright for my sleeping preference (great nightlight for a kid) and when the timer (max 7.5 hour) shuts the unit off, it seems to erase the preset room temp. It then defaults back to 75 degrees. Could be I haven't figured it out yet but either way, that's a minor thing to me. Overall, I think I got a good deal on a good heater.
Lovin' my new Christmas present

Review Date: December 24, 2007
Reviewer: Jim D. Kimzey, San Francisco, CA USA
This is a great little heater. Our living room is about 20'x20' with 13' high cathedral ceilings and large picture windows, and it stays about 4 to 5 degrees colder than the rest of our house. I finally got tired of bundling up just to watch T.V., so I put this heater on my Christmas list.

After 1/2 a day of using it, I'm loving it. The heater is small, attractive, quiet, easy to use, and most importantly, keeps the room comfortably warm. A lot of reviewers have complained about the bright display, but the company seems to have listened. It now automatically dims itself a few seconds after you turn it on or make any adjustments.

We are using it on Auto setting at 70 degrees, so it warms the room up to about 71, turns itself off, waits for the temperature to drop to 69, and then turns itself on again. I'm very pleased with this gift and feel it is doing everything I would want a small heater to do.

I do have a couple of recommendations to the manufacturer on how to improve this product. One is to have it remember its last settings. For this product, every time you turn the power off and then back on, you have to reset it to Auto and set your temperature. Since I am always going to use it in the same place at the same setting, it would be nice if I didn't have to readjust it every time. However, this is a small thing as it only takes a few seconds to reprogram. But it seems like an obvious feature to add. The other recommendation is to put a digital clock in the heater and allow the user to program it to come on at a certain time. If I were using this heater in a cold bedroom, I would want this feature, so it could start warming my bedroom before I woke up.

26 Nov 09 Homemade Solar Pool Heater Instructions

An inexpensive way to keep warm, the pool in winter is by sharing a homemade solar pool heater. It is true that sounds a bit complicated to build, it is actually quite simple and only takes a few tools at hardware stores get going. It is also easy to provide heating for the house.

Homemade solar pool heating or solar-powered device for that matter, rely on the concept of catching the sunlight in solar cells and their conversion into usable energy(IE electricity or heat). In the case of a pool heater, the solar radiation recorded on a sheet of glass type panel on which there are horizontal pipes. These tubes contain the pool water to be pumped to and from the pool. The water comes out of the pool is heated, and will be reset. This is a very simple concept.

A basic homemade solar pool heater will cost about 100 U.S. dollars and set up a day or 2, depending on how good your "craft" skills. thematerials required are fairly simple. Some aluminum foil, some PVC pipe, some adhesive, and a few other things are all that is required. Obviously some kind of guidance is recommended.

There are many online guides to provide detailed wiring diagrams, the exact materials needed and a lot more info. In fact, many of these guides will show you how to make wind turbines, solar panels for your home, and also information on the storage of electricity. If we really feltDaring, there are cheap plans available on the Internet that you will receive 100% independence in energy supply, may in a few weeks. So much for the pool runs from solar energy!

25 Nov 09 Keep It Safe – Heater Safety Tips

Although heaters for a range of home heating fires can be taken into account, the heaters now being produced relatively safe. Nevertheless, prevention must be taken when operating any type of heating device.

Generally, oil heaters are safer than regular electric convection or radiant heaters because they are already considering the low surface temperatures and less air flow through / over the heater itself. These heaters create warmth by warming heat-preserving oilinside the heater. The oil is then in the coils of the radiator heat is distributed evenly throughout the room. However, these types of heaters are only suitable for small, personal spaces of 40 square meters for feet under-desk style unit to 150 square. Another added benefit of a small desk-type unit is that these extremely energy efficient and does not blow fuses connected, even if the same power grid as the computer that sits on your desktopthey are under used.

Once again, it should be noted that although the high intensity of production of space heating them more susceptible to fires, which can make most portable electric space heaters now being produced numerous performance requirements to enhance user safety.

However, portable space heaters have received a bad reputation recently. My husband loves it, I think it's pretty nice too.

Review Date: October 9, 2008
Reviewer: Resident, Painesville, OH USA
It's lightweight and easily carried from one room to the next. It heats up a small room within a matter of minutes. It has a thermometer so it can shut off when it reaches a certain temperature and then kick back on when the temperature gets below the desired temp. (Or you can choose to set the timer and just have it run constantly for a certain time frame). It comes with a remote control. What more could you ask for in a portable heater? It's a great value. My husband is amazed at how quiet it is. I personally think it's a little noisey but I'm extra sensitive to that. It's nowhere near as noisey as a dishwashing machine or major appliance. My only complaint is that it wakes me every time it kicks on during the night. (I'm a REALLY light sleeper.) I love the warmth but I hate getting a terrible night sleep. It doesn't wake my husband and he raves about how 'quiet' it is.
Excellent product

Easy to put together. Tucks away into a corner nicely so it takes up very little room. Very easy to use and the remote is extremely handy. Relatively quiet (soft fan noise when on). Heats the room up fast and constantly monitors to maintain desired temperature. Highly recommended.
Strong Product with Digital Readout

Review Date: March 23, 2009
Reviewer: Tom Jensen, Midwest USA
In my opinion, the product performs exactly as advertised. The product throws out ample heat to sufficiently add heat to any average sized bedroom. The produce uses digital readout for temperature and for timed settings. If the operator sets the temperature at 75 degrees and sets the unit to operate on "Automatic", the unit will start heating when the temperature drops to 74 and will continue to heat until the temperature reaches 2 degrees above the setting (i.e. 77 degrees for the example). I set the unit to run on timed function to insure that the unit gets turned off when I am away from the heater.
Great Product

24 Nov 09 All About Garage Heaters

How many times have you wanted to work in the garage during the cold winter months, or even the car drove into the garage, and wished it was much warmer? Perhaps it is time to look in a garage heater. Here is a look at to know some of the things that you want about garage heaters.

For those of you who have a Attached Garage, by heating a garage is not too difficult. You can have your home's furnace to heat up. This can be achieved in the channel by adding a heaterGarage. They want this done by a professional in the heating industry.

Well, if you have a detached garage, or you do not want to run a channel in the Attached Garage, you have several options for heating. Your most important consideration is cost, and how large are the garage.

You will notice that the typical heating system is designed for any garage to about 500 square meters heat.

Electric garage heaters are the most common and the easiest units to run. Youneed to ensure that you have to throw enough power to the heater to run without circuit breakers. As long as at least a 100-amp service you should be good. How to keep an eye out for the power of information before purchasing any unit.

Other popular garage heaters run on gas, but these are not as popular, for obvious reasons of security.

Speaking of security, you have always wanted to be cautious with any type of heater in the garage. Be sure to keep gas cans and other flammable materials far awayfrom the heater. I know it seems obvious to do, but you would, how many garages have burned due to safety issues to be surprised.

Electric garage heaters should always be removed from the socket when not in use. While these units are incredibly easy to use and warming up a garage, they should be used responsibly and safely.

Great heater

Review Date: October 12, 2007
Reviewer: Dick S., Spring Creek, NV.
This is a great heater and works every bit as well as the model it replaced. I am using it to heat an open area including the living room, kitchen, and hallway and it has worked fine when the indoor temperature was at 58 degrees. It takes a while for it to start bring up the temp (30 to 60 minutes) We have not gotten the evere cold yet but I'm guessing that this heater will need to be supplemented by our central heat but should reduce how much of that will be needed. definitely worth the money. Note: I now live outside of Elko, NV where the winter temps can get to -20.
Great for small rooms

Review Date: December 29, 2007
Reviewer: Robert McGregor, Texas
If you are looking for a cost-effective way to heat small rooms, the Lasko 758000 Cyclonic Ceramic Heater is a great buy. In order to be succinct, please find the "pros" and "cons" below.

Pros:
* Effective and easy-to-understand controls that allow for automatic settings governed by temperature objectives or heating by high or low output
* An illuminated display (easily viewable from 5-10 yards) that indicates the surrounding room temperature
* Directional control for heat output
* Nice form factor that allows for flexible floor placement in terms of space needed and general aesthetics

Cons:
* At higher temperature settings, the unit generates a little noise. To be fair, however, the sound is similar to and no more imposing that a PC or Printer

All in all, this is a good unit for rooms that central heating does not reach effectively. I would definitely buy another unit should the occasion arise.

A quality unit

Reviewer: A-Jay, Northern Michigan
I bought this unit to heat a finished basement. Like everybody, I did the research, read the reviews and weeded through the hundreds of makes, models and different type space heaters. For the money this is a good unit. It does exactly what it advertises and I am a happy camper.
we like it

Review Date: October 28, 2007
Reviewer: M. Lane, ky
We have used this heater for two years now we bought it at walmart. we went one day and they were fully stocked, went back the next day to buy one and we ended up with the floor model. I wish someone with a drafty house would review this so I would know whether it works well in that situation as well. we only have to heat three or four hundred square foot and this is our only heater (Kentucky) it works well even with our vaulted ceilings as long as we use the ceiling fans. I like the features it offers and the thermostat, plus you can direct the blower for the heat so you can point it at your body if you are personally cold at the moment. I liked the design it doesn't look like a scarry heater and none of us have ever been able to get burned by it even though the air that comes out is very warm. It does make noise, but is not annoying or loud. Overall it was a great buy for our purposes.

23 Nov 09 Inline Water Heater – Environmental Advantages of Inline Water Heaters

It is our responsibility to our children and grandchildren to start taking better care of this world we live in Environmentally friendly products are logged in importance and we should all make more effort to use them. However, it is often the case that the "environmentally friendly" version for a particular product does not work, as well as the mainstream version. How often, it costs much more. This is not the case with the in-line water heater.

Inline heaters are the mostlatest technology in hot water heaters. They heat the water immediately and must not use a tank. There are several advantages of these units over the traditional. First, they save their owners a lot of money on utilities. Second, they provide hot water immediately. There's no more waiting for hot water to heat up. Third, they are more durable.

Besides all these advantages, the in-line water heaters, are the environmental benefits even more impressive.

To save 1) Water. Since theWater is heated instantly, you need not be standing there, water down the drain as you go, you wait until hot. This is great for conserving water and can access thousands of gallons of water saving.

2) less fuel. Whether it is a gas-in-line water heater or an electric, it will consume much less fuel than a conventional hot-water heating system would be used to run. The effects of using less electricity or gas on the environment is large and far-reaching.

3) LessEmissions. Because of the efficiency of these units, much less carbon and other emissions into the atmosphere, if you. This creates less air pollution.

Excellent for small, enclosed

Review Date: February 18, 2005
Reviewer: Herbert H. Yau, East TN, United States
Pros:
Small footprint
Heating element well hidden inside the machine
Redundant safety features
Relatively quiet
Competitively priced

Cons:
Thermostat is not as accurate as I like
Not good for "spot" heating, like warming up just the rocking chair area when watching TV.

This heater suits best for heating up small, enclosed spaces (about 14x14sq.ft.). I use it in my bedroom and the result is great.

The air outlet velocity is low and non vectorized by design. It relies on low velocity, de-facto free, convection as a prime source of heat transfer. This mode of heating carries an advantage for not drying skin (Example, a typical hot-air blowing heater acts like a hair dryer!), and heat very evenly within a small area. Thus make this a bad choice for "spot" heating.

Advice the last person who gave this machine a bad rating. You are like complaining about a Toyota Corolla not able to reach 200mph. Please spend some money to insulate the place and buy a bigger heater, or two for your application.

The unit was solidly built, has overheat and tip-over sensor, and the heating element was located in a remote location and it's impossible to touch. Therefore, it scores really high on safety. However, please use common sense when using this unit (keep the unit away from small children, moisture, water, drapery...)

The unit uses a "Mechanical" thermostat and it does not control the room's temperature very well. It would be better for Honeywell to change it to a digital thermostat.

Conclusion: Use it for what it's best for (small, enclosed space or 14x14 sq.ft.), and you will not be dissappointed.
Quick, Hot, and Safe

Review Date: February 1, 2007
Reviewer: Ryan Jacobsen,
I plugged this in yesterday for the first time. It seems very safe. The ON nob has a childproof turn system. At the hottest temperatures I can still pick the heater up by the metal grate. Most impressive is how fast it heats up. As soon as it turned on I felt a lot of heat, as if it arrives from the factory with hot air waiting to blow out upon first use. It has a little bit of the "heater odor", like when you turn the heat in the car way up. It heat my room up really fast, but it's a small-medium sized room. I looked around a lot for heaters and read a lot of reviews. This one worked out perfectly for me; I am very happy with my choice.
These babies work!

Review Date: February 5, 2005
Reviewer: Jeffrey Demers,
I have a 2 bedroom apartment outside of Boston. When the temperature outside drops below 20 degrees or so, the interior temp. struggles to remain above 60 degrees or so. I have deployed three of these great heaters in my apartment and the temp. now can get well above 65 when it is really cold outside.

A+ machine, sleek design, definetly not ugly and will get the job done.

Great For A Small Room

Review Date: October 17, 2005
Reviewer: C. Richardson, New Jersey
If you have a small room, it will heat it efficiently. Just make sure to close the door. It won't work for a larger room, but the price is so cheap, you can get a few for each room. It does the job for the price. It would heat up a child's room perfectly on those cold winter nights. It is also safe and if tipped over, it will turn off automatically. Not bad for the price. You may even find it cheaper than the price here at Amazon. I purchased it at Linens & Things for $24.99 (sale price) The regular price was $29.99.
